Souper Bowl of Caring!

"Souper Bowl of Caring" -- January 23 though February 3!

Students are collecting non-perishable food donations during the weeks leading up to Super Bowl Sunday.  The High School Beta Club organizes our local effort as part of a national student-led effort to serve and provide for others during the national Super Bowl celebrations. Our school-wide goal is to collect 1,000 non-perishable food items (canned/boxed).  Boxes will be located at each teacher's classroom and will be emptied daily by High School Beta Club members.  All items collected will be donated to the Total Living Center where our Christians In Action student teams volunteer.  The Total Living Center serves hundreds of families each month with grocery distribution days and hot meals. Let's surpass our 1,000-item goal! Donations from the public are happily accepted! Drop-offs can be made during the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. by buzzing in at the Greenfield entrance!

Spring Play

"No Place Like Nowhere" by Andrew Ross

Friday, March 23 -- 7 p.m.

Saturday, March 24 – 7 p.m.

Tickets will go on sale March 1. Prices to be determined.

What is there to do in the middle of Nowhere? Just ask a temperamental movie star, the paparazzi, secret agents, the local DJ, a crooked congressman, the sheriff, and two brothers putting on a two-man production of Romeo and Juliet!  The government has 500 tons of toxic waste they need to store somewhere, so they decide to dump it in Nowhere.  But will the government agents successfully talk the citizens into leaving? Will the arrival of a high-strung actress complicate matters?  Will anyone in the cast survive the food and water served at the Lonesome Dog Café? Get ready for tons of fun, an outpouring of laughter, and possibly the worst performance of Shakespeare ever staged!

Andrew Ross also is known for the coimedic and entertaining play "Northwoods Nonsense," which Heritage performed in 2010.
