Preschool Teacher

School Months Schedule:

7:20am to 3:45pm on school days


Summer Months Schedule:

Off (Pay spread across all 12 months)

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Works cooperatively with the team and administrator in the implementation of daily plans in accordance with the lesson

  • Support students in the areas of social, physical, verbal, and cognitive development

  • Cultivate relationships with students and their families in Preschool

  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information regarding students, families, and teachers.

  • Work to positively resolve parent and student issues as they arise.

  • Identify behavioral challenges and assist team to determine the right course of action.

  • Supervises non-classroom activities as directed (i.e., arrival/departure, lunch, recess, field trips)

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Early Childhood Education or Child Development Bachelor’s degree required

  • Infant/child CPR, First Aid certification, Child Abuse prevention and Communicable Disease certification required (will train)

  • Must have at least one year early childhood experience

  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office/Google Workspace

  • Must be able to accept and uphold the Statement of Faith and Christian philosophy of HCS

  • Must be agreeable to terms set forth in the HCS Personnel Manual

  • Able to pass Ohio Revised Code required background check and drug/alcohol testing

  • Ability to assume physical postures at low levels to allow physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity with children
