7:15am to 3:45pm Two days a week on school days

Hourly pay:

$14 to $16 based on skills and experience

Roles & Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment for all students and staff.

  • Greet visitors and make sure they feel welcomed, while also following security procedures.

  • Make sure all areas accessible to the public and students are secure.

  • Check identification of individuals entering the school, and compare to the list of authorized contacts to pick-up children.

  • Annually empty and update all security bags for faculty and staff.

  • Maintain the school security plan.

  • Coordinate school security, fire, and tornado drills.

  • Ensure communication radios are in good working order.

  • Organize building keys and the list of authorized users.

  • Address angry or upset parents in a calm and professional way.

  • Lock-up the building when needed.

  • Escort an upset child or adult out of the building if needed.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Must be able to work independently without direct supervision

  • Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds

  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time, walk around the campus, and walk up multiple flights of stairs

  • Must have eyesight sufficient for watching camera feeds

  • Abide by Heritage Christian School Statement of Faith and Philosophy

  • Able to pass Ohio Revised Code required background check and drug/alcohol testing

  • Previous experience preferred
